March 1998 1996 Most Frequent CalOSHA Citations
The ten most frequently cited CalOSHA standards in 1996 for the Transportation & Public Utilities industry are listed below. When compared to the 1995 most frequently cited CalOSHA standards (see CSRMA Bulletin, September 1996) it appears that much has not changed. In both years, Injury Illness Prevention programs, Forklift operating rules, hazard communication programs and portable fire extinguishers remain the top four cited standards. The good news is that these are issues that have long since been identified, addressed and corrected by CSRMA members. The message - keep up the good work!
