Personal Auto Use.

 

Does CSRMA cover liability for personal autos when used on District business?

The employee's personal auto policy pays all liability claims first, then CSRMA
provides excess coverage once district deductible satisfied.

 

New Vehicle Coverage.     top toparrow

 

Do I need to tell CSRMA about a new vehicle the District purchased?

Only if you require auto physical damage on the vehicle or you have your auto liability in the PIP.  If you only need liability and are in the pooled program, coverage is on blanket basis and you don't need to report it.

 

Driving Standards.

All employees' drivers licenses should be checked every year using the DMV pull system.

Claims Reporting.

All pooled liability claims should be reported to Carl Warren & Co at (877) 393-1895. All Primary Insurance Program Claims can be reported to Diana Walizada at  (415) 403-1453.

Can I settle my own claims with third parties?                                                                                          

The pooled liability program allows members to settle their claims up to $5,000 only if it involves property damage.All primary insurance program claims should be reported no matter the size of the claim. All claims should still be reported no matter the size or cause.

 

Employment Practices Coverage?

The pooled liability program and PIP have employment related practices coverage
The pooled program has a $25,000 deductible and the PIP has a $10,000 deductible.

Do I need to report all new or demolished property?

Yes, as all premiums are based on the value of the property at risk.

 

Is the boiler & machinery deductible the same as the property all risk deductible?

All boiler and machinery deductibles are the same as all risk deductibles except for Internal Combustion Engine losses which are subject to a $70 per horsepower deductible or all risk deductible, whichever is higher.

Should I report all liability claims to Carl Warren & Co.?

Yes, all claims must be reported to Carl Warren & Co, even if they are within the member's deductible.

 

Do the members of the pooled liability program have any claims settlement authority?

Yes, up to $5000 only if the claim involves property damage. If Bodily Injury occurs the claim must be reported to Carl Warren & Co.  (all claims should still be reported to Carl Warren & Co.)

 

Where do I report claims for the Primary Insurance Program?

All claims should be reported to Diana Walizada at  (415) 403-1453.

 

Who adjusts the property claims?

Maxson Young & Co. are the designated adjusters for all property program losses. They are  expressly written into the policy.
